Walton County Resource Court
The Walton County Resource Court is a collaborative court designed to address the needs of individuals diagnosed with a severe and persistent mental illness who have committed criminal act(s) and who are being prosecuted for those acts by the Walton County District Attorney’s office. The Resource Court provides treatment to court participants in conjunction with community supervision by the Sheriff’s Department and Probation Officers and drug testing to address the underlying causes of criminal activity and recidivism.
Basic Requirements
- Walton County resident
- Diagnosis of a severe and persistent mental illness or a co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse disorder
- Unresolved charges or pending probation revocation
